Listenara

Privacy

Your recordings stay on your Mac.

Listenara is provided by Avenrow Labs. Most Listenara activity stays on your Mac. This policy explains the limited information used for updates, licensing, payments, delivery, website statistics, and support.

Effective August 20, 2026.

Data stored on your Mac

When you stop a live recording, Listenara keeps its audio and transcription together, plus translation when requested. File → Import Audio… copies the selected authorized file into private Library storage and processes it locally.

Using Listenara with Codex

The Codex skill is optional. Listenara does not automatically send recordings or transcripts to an AI service. Requests that use only Library details can still place titles, descriptions, tags, dates, language labels, and recording IDs in the Codex conversation. Treat those details as potentially sensitive. Corrections proposed through Codex require your review before they are accepted.

If you ask Codex to read, summarize, rewrite, correct, or otherwise transform transcript text, that requested text may enter the Codex chat context. Review the privacy terms for the service and avoid sending sensitive content unless you intend to use that external workflow.

Updates and license activation

Listenara may check for a newer public release. This update check does not include your recordings, transcripts, Library details, license key, or local file paths.

When you activate a paid key, Listenara sends the license key, a derived device-bound hash, the app version, and the platform to the license service. Activation does not include audio, transcripts, saved recordings, exports, device names, or raw hardware identifiers.

After successful activation, ordinary paid offline transcription uses a locally verified receipt and does not require another online license check.

Website statistics

The Listenara website records approximate totals such as page views, download clicks, and checkout status. These counters do not use cookies, store IP addresses, identify individual visitors, or collect audio, transcripts, saved recordings, license keys, or local device names.

GitHub and Cloudflare may receive ordinary connection information, such as an IP address and browser type, under their own policies.

Payments and license delivery

Services used

PayPal handles payment, buyer, and order details, including charges, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks. Resend receives the destination email address, buyer name when available, and license email contents. Cloudflare hosts the payment and license service. GitHub hosts the website and release downloads. These providers may process data outside your country under their own privacy terms.

Purchase and license records

To issue and support licenses, the service stores PayPal order references and status updates, a Listenara license ID, delivery and activation status, dates and times, a non-reversible coded form of the purchase email address, and privacy-protected activation codes. Activation-reset records do not contain support notes, customer email addresses, license keys, or device identifiers.

Buyer information

An encrypted private record stores completed PayPal purchases processed after this record began. It includes the buyer’s PayPal name when provided, email address, purchase date, and an optional internal support note. Only the protected private support dashboard provides ordinary access to this information.

Older purchases and manually issued licenses may not appear in this record. Purchase information is used for license delivery and support; it does not subscribe anyone to marketing. Names, full email addresses, and support notes are excluded from website totals, public responses, and application logs.

If license delivery is delayed

While a license email is pending, protected delivery data may temporarily retain the destination email and generated key so delivery can be retried without another charge. Those values are removed after the email provider accepts delivery or within seven days at the latest.

An authorized retry may check the matching PayPal order or resubmit a verified manual delivery. It does not capture payment again. If delivery remains uncertain, support verifies that the first email was not accepted before trying again.

Retention

Buyer information currently has no automatic expiry or dashboard deletion control. The buyer name, email address, purchase date, and internal support note remain until they are removed through a protected process. Notes are limited to the support or business context needed and must not contain payment credentials, license keys, or unrelated sensitive information. Aggregate counters are kept only while useful for site operations.

Your requests

To request access, correction, or deletion of Listenara-controlled online data, email listenara.app@gmail.com from the purchase email address and include only the minimum purchase or license identifier needed.

Some financial, security, dispute, and legal records may need to be retained. Removing information controlled by Listenara does not automatically delete copies controlled by PayPal, Resend, Cloudflare, GitHub, or another provider under its own retention policy.
